How do online and offline clients differ? How should the division of labor between client, trustee and accounto look like?

Updated over a year ago

And this is how it works...

What is an online client?

Online clients are SMEs that receive a company access to Accounto:

Depending on the access rights, the users with a company access can use the accounts receivable and accounts payable module, release expenses and set up employees. If the bookkeeping and the payroll run have been enabled in the client settings, then the users with the company access, depending on the access rights, can also view the bookkeeping and personnel modules and make changes.

How can the online clients upload documents?

The online clients can upload their documents in 3 ways:

  • via mobile app

  • via inbound email address

  • via "+ Add document" on the platform

Which clients are suitable as online clients?

  • For clients who spend a lot of time on mail/messaging for missing documents or data.

Solution: Communicate efficiently with clients using the task module on Accounto.

  • For clients who write a lot of accounts receivable invoices.

Solution: Through Accounto, clients can quickly and conveniently save item templates and draft invoices, write quotes, convert these quotes into orders or invoices, and generate delivery bills. Customer invoices written via Accounto are immediately booked and do not count as "booked receipt".

  • For clients who want to take over some tasks.

Solution: Release tasks such as accounts payable and expenses, set up new employees, reconcile transactions or generate payroll runs.

What are offline clients?

Offline clients are the SME's that do not want to use the online features of Accounto. These clients can still upload their own documents and can get an employee access:

How can offline clients upload documents?

The offline clients can upload their documents in 2 ways:

  • via mobile app

  • via inbound email address

Which clients are suitable as offline clients?

  • For clients who do not want to benefit from the online features of Accounto.

  • For clients who want to digitize their documents but do not want to play an active role in bookkeeping.

  • For clients who periodically bring their physical documents to the fiduciary.

Solution: With the employee access, these clients can be trained to submit their documents directly digitally in the future.
